In most homes, the fireplace is powered by electricity or uses a fossil fuel, so every one is forced to crowd around the place. In case of fossil fuels, a flue has to be constructed and maintained so that the exhaust gases are removed as they could be very toxic. To overcome these limitations, Ecosmart has developed a range of flueless fires which can be wall hung or free standing.
The Ecosmart fires are ecofriendly and use bioethanol and no harmful gases or soot are produced. The heat produced by the flueless fire is usually sufficient to heat a room in minutes, and they can be turned down after half an hour to conserve fuel if required. Unlike other fires, the flame is not very hot, making it the safer option for children and pets.
The main component of the Ecosmart fire is the stainless steel burner box, which has a capacity of 5 liters of bioethanol. This is usually sufficient to run the burner for 7 to 20 hours depending on usage. The fuel can be added to the burner from the top and a provision for adjusting the flame is conveniently located on the top of the burner. Refills are available in various pack sizes ranging from 4 X 5L to 16 X 5L .
